Bioplastics

PLA

It has good mechanical properties compared to conventional thermoplastic materials. Its exceptional hardness, rigidity, impact resistance and elasticity are comparable to those of LDPE, PVC, or PET. Its melting point is between 173-178 ℃. Its crystallinity is close to 37%.

PBAT

It is an amorphous synthetic aromatic aliphatic copolyester that provides greater rigidity and resistance to the final product. It is very flexible and has good thermal stability up to 230 ℃. Suitable for contact with food.

PCL

Biodegradable semi-crystalline polymer of fossil origin with a melting point of 58-60 ℃. It is hydrophobic, with good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, breathable, resistant to grease and moisture. It allows to obtain a plasticized feeling in the final product.
