The Extrusion Process
Extrusion is the fundamental process in plastic film manufacturing. At Plastipack S.A. we have state-of-the-art extrusion lines that allow us to produce monolayer and coextruded films of up to 3 layers with micrometric precision.
Our extruders process polyethylene (LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, mLLDPE) and polypropylene resins, with automatic temperature, pressure, and speed control systems that guarantee uniformity of the final product.
The process includes mixing resins and masterbatches, melting and homogenizing the material, forming the bubble or sheet, controlled cooling, and winding into rolls of the required dimensions.
